5 Benefits of Organically Grown Hemp.

Organically grown refers to any item grown or produced without the use of genetically modified products, synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, or exposure to other chemicals or radiation. This can help grow your products and reduce overall contamination and any other harmful effects. So why not grow hemp organically? Here are the 5 benefits of organically grown hemp.

Overall Health

Organically grown hemp has been shown to improve skin, joint pain, heart health and even boost overall immunity. This happens when toxins are removed from the soil and the plant can grow in a favorable environment. Heavy metals and synthetic chemicals are just the beginning of what can disturb the farming process but when hemp is planted in soil that is free of harmful contaminants, the benefits of the flower are much better than that of the inorganically grown.

Better Flavor

Flavonoids and terpenes are the molecules/chemicals most responsible for the flavor and appearance of cannabis. The development of such is aided by a holistic and organic approach; this approach cultivates a more flavorful and appealing bud. Without the disturbance of harmful pesticides and other inorganic materials, hemp is able to thrive in its most natural form, furthermore, producing a better product.

Environmentally Friendly

In most scenarios, organic farming is beneficial for the environment. Over time, the use of synthetic fertilizers and traditional growth techniques compromises the soil by destroying microbial organisms, insects and other habitants. Soil integrity waivers when using conventionally unstable techniques long term, causing consequences for the land and water around the crop. The use of organic farming, however, mitigates harm by using several low-impact approaches like non-chemical pest management and using natural soil additives.

Increase Potency

As we learned, giving your hemp plant great soil is one of the fundamental parts of organic growing. Like any plant, hemp has plenty of specific and highly complex requirements to grow at an optimal rate; matching those, as accurately as possible, allows your plant to thrive to its full potential. Most cannabis plants must contain six essential micronutrients – manganese, boron, copper, zinc, molybdenum and iron. Your plant also needs six macronutrients to grow well – nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, sulfur and magnesium. Organic growers have reported that organically grown hemp is superior in effect and potency due to the complex make-up of the nutrient mixes used.

Achieve Higher Yields

One of the many concerns of commercially grown hemp is the possibility of reduced yield when growing organically, however, that is not always the case. In fact, the conditions are optimal to achieve higher yields than that of commercial growing. As hemp farming has grown over the years, products used to farm have improved. Innovation in organic growing has allowed farmers to tweak their specific needs and still stay within the confines that reduce pollutants and enhance the nutrients in the soil used. Although soil is the greatest topic of discussion, you must also take machinery, landscape and other tools into consideration.
